L’Oreal Paris’ Women of Worth Awards honored Catherine Meek for her work with a $10,000 donation to School On Wheels in December 2012.

Presidential Service Awards 2011Established in 2003 to recognize the valuable contributions volunteers make in their communities, multiple School on Wheels volunteers and members of the School on Wheels team have earned this prestigious award. Minerva Award 2009The Minerva Award has become the country’s most prestigious award given to women “who serve on the front-lines of humanity.” Agnes Stevens, founder of School on Wheels and 2009 Minerva Award recipient, definitely fits this description. |

World’s Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child 2008Agnes Stevens’ 20 year fight on behalf of homeless children was recognized in 2008, when she became one of three women to receive this special honor. Known as the children’s “Nobel Prize,” winners are chosen by a global vote from a pool of 17 million children in 37,000 schools in 92 countries. It is the world’s most prestigious prize for defenders of children. |
