Downtown Learning Center

Our Downtown Learning Center was opened in 2000 and is a safe place in the heart of Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles for children to come to after school. It is a warm, positive learning environment in which children get academic help from volunteer tutors, have a snack, and use computers. It is recognized in the neighborhood as one of the few safe havens where children can escape the dirty and sometimes dangerous streets of Skid Row.
