Online Workshop: Practical Advice for Working With English Language Learners and IEPs

This online workshop is open to both active tutors as well as tutors completing our application process. The workshop, however, does not substitute for the mandatory in-person Tutor Training required of new applicants. Please refer to our event calendar to register for a Tutor Training.

During this presentation, Lauren Reed will discuss working with English Language Learners (ELLs) as well as students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP). We will learn the background of these terms, the challenges the students in these programs may face, and strategies tutors can use to help students overcome these challenges.
About the Presenter: Lauren Reed has a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. She has taught in Phoenix, Arizona for 5 years, working primarily with English Language Learners (ELL’s). Lauren is also a very proud mom of two boys, ages 3 and 1.
